Tuna fishing at pioneer had an epic day ended up with 27 to 32lbs for four people all on the troll

first sturgeon trip of the season couldnt get the right fish to bite had 4 fish caught and all were undersized caught on roe at the pg&e pittsburg in 50-60ft

10/11/07

took my daughter and a buddy Dan salmon fishing on the mokulumne river

hooked 5 fish two foul hooked broke off a 25 lber with the hook right in the mouth fish was a buck so didnt bother me so much did land two nice hens for the day.fished below the I-5 bridge all caught on jigs.

my results for the Rio Vista striper derby started Fri. around noon with a rookie striper/sturgeon fisherman Fri. in the pooring down rain alot of shaker stripers and two keepers to 30 in. nothing that night on sturgeon Sat. off decker striper fishing with shad my buddies reel starts screamin when he set hook I could tell he has a good fish on then he hands me the rod and thinking to myself why is he handing his rod off to me, as I can feel it is a good fish and try to reel down on it it wont reel and see why he handed it to me with the reel nested up enough for two birds not able to get that mess undone I grab another rod cut off the leader get as much slack line of the rod with the fish cut it tie a quick blood knot and land a 51 1/2 sturgeon fished till about 6 that eve. called it ended up with that sturgeon three stripers none close enough to the target sizes to enter

with the boat and trailer getting some warranty work done fishing on friends boats for stripers. After getting it back fished Nov.10 around collinsville area with out a single sturgeon hooked but 3 stripers to 12#  On 11/13 seen more jumpers that day then I have ever seen before just couldnt get the right fish to bite hooked six sturgeon all short with 5 stripers 24 to 29 inches. 11/24 finally keepers 2 60'' & 64'' and 1 keeper striper at 18# and dont think we had another bite that day. And finally on Fri. 11/30 took a friend and his step son on a first time ever sturgeon trip for them we started out with 8,11# stripers, first sturgeon is josh's the "step son" lands a 58'' sturgeon 1/2 hr later as Josh is still making phone calls chucks hooked up with one same size or little bigger still a keeper fish gets broke off due to a boat rub to the line. this last trip was at sherman island using roe.
